The Heat are a seven piece band specialising in high energy funk, soul & dance music.
The band was formed in early 1998.They decided that they wanted a quality band, musicians with a "Pedigree" fronted with at least four vocalists capable of lead singing, plus the kind of dedicated harmony singing that is rarely produced by live bands.
Rehearsals began in Feb'98 and the band has been performing since May 98 on the local Bristol gig scene ,"Wowing" audiences whilst honing the band into an tight professional unit.
The band members are: Nikki Sutton, Terry Murray, Beverly James, Ian Vallin, Mike Hoddinot, Nick Pallett and Jaya Chakrabarti.
